Guitar Hero: Modern Hits

When Activision said that they’d be ramping up production of new Guitar Hero games, I guess they meant it. The launch of Guitar Hero: World Tour is just around the corner and we’re already hearing about a bunch of additional Guitar Hero games in the works. The latest rumor surrounds a title called Guitar Hero: Modern Hits, a name that Activision has trademarked through the US patent office.
We’ve seen Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s already, so the assumption is that this new title will be a very timely piece. The patent doesn’t provide much more in terms of information, but I’m guessing that this “modern” era would be comprised of the last decade or so. In this way, you probably won’t get much in terms of classic southern rock or KISS hits from many moons ago.
Are they going to bring new gameplay elements? Probably not. You should probably look at Guitar Hero: Modern Hits as a disc-based version of a massive DLC release. Sorta. What songs would you want to see?
