Guitar Hero 3 vs. Rock Band: Comparison
Guitar Hero 3 is the talk of the town, being sold out at just about every video game retailer on the planet. You can get your hands on the PS2 version, but if you’ve got a Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3, you’re pretty much SOL unless you totally luck out. Just around the corner, however, is another rhythm game that takes on a very similar formula. In fact, Harmonix was the company behind the first two Guitar Hero games and now they’re backing Rock Band.
What you see above is a side-by-side comparison of Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band, playing the exact same song, presumably both on expert mode. This gives you an idea as to which game will be more difficult and based on the raw number of notes shown on the screen, I’d say that GH3 wins this battle. Then again, Rock Band lets you use two guitars, a drum set, and a microphone, all at the same time. That’s got to be worth some brownie points.
In case you’re wondering, the three songs that the games have in common are “When You Were Young” by The Killers, “Sabotage” by Beastie Boys, and “Cherub Rock” by The Smashing Pumpkins.

Wow I have Guitar Hero III and me and my brother decided to get Rock Band next week. My brother and I both are finding Guitar Hero III hard and Rock Band looks so much easier. Now that i have seen the comparison I can’t wait till next week!!!

both games also have paranoid by black sabbath and reptilia from the strokes.
I can’t beleive that you think GH is harder then rockband. Them 3 songs dont do any justic to the games . in that video the last song may have been a little hard. you wants to see hard put the 3 of them songs up against “Green Grass High tides” ” Foreplay/Long time”
Hand Ramblin Man and see what is harder.
By far rock band is way harder.
