Gran Turismo for PS3 to Cost $1000

I hate microtransactions, I think most game makers are doing it to maximize their profit, and get us for as much as possible. They realized that this format would work thanks to MMORPG’s which charge people a monthly fee for being able to play the game.

It looks like Gran Turismo HD for the PlayStation 3 will have two product SKUs. One of which will come with no cars, and the other will include two courses, and 30 cards.

Gran Turismo HD: Classic, the one without the cars, will be online-focused. So far it has been reported that the player will start off with no cars or courses and have to buy them online. With 750 cars available at between $0.50 and $1.00 USD a piece, as well as 50 tracks to be purchased for $1.50 to $4.50 each, that brings us to a grand total between $426.50 and $975 to get all the content.

Details are not available yet on this game, and is just rumours and speculation, but if this is true…
expect to see me red in the face with anger.
