GameStop Creates Own Timeline For Chrono Trigger

Advertising is supposed to be about product promotion. It can be informative and/or entertaining, but its primary purpose is really to sell the product. When overdone, sometimes it stretches the truth. Head over to Dial and you’ll see posts about the presentation of the iPhone ads in the UK compared to its real-life scenario. Perhaps the advertising staff of GameStop is inspired by it because I can’t make sense of how they’re promoting Chrono Trigger.

Make sure you view the picture in full. I wonder where they got the idea that Chrono went to 1982 to play football. Perhaps it’s one of the game’s alternate endings? One customized for every Chrono Trigger purchase from GameStop?
