Free Nintendo DS Lite Given to Travelers

What? You don’t already own a DS Lite? For shame. For shame.
If you happen to find yourself on the bullet train between Hiroshima and Tokyo in Japan, you just may be in luck, because JR East is starting a new program for Shinkansen (bullet train) passengers wherein they get to play with a DS Lite for the duration of their trip. And it won’t cost them a penny.
The free loaners come with your choice of two DS games, so you can be sure to stay entertained for the duration of your three day trip across Japan. At the speed the bullet train is traveling, you might have a hard time soaking in the scenery, so you might as well get in a session with Mario Kart 64 or tap to your heart’s delight in Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan.
There are a couple of caveats to consider, unfortunately. First, JR East will only have 20 systems per day available for loan and secondly, the program is only going to run from February 14th to March 28th. After that, they take rip the touchtastic gaming machine away from the children and grandmas, never distributing the Ninty goodness again.
