Extensive Nintendo DSi Review (with Pictures)

ndsi-rev.jpg

As you may have heard, the Nintendo DSi launched in Japan over the weekend, but the updated handheld won’t be available around these parts until some time next year. The DSi comes equipped with a few upgrades over the DS Lite, like the inclusion of dual cameras and a memory card slot, but it does away with the GBA slot. We won’t be able to buy the DSi (officially) for a few more months, but good guy Danny Choo has quite the extensive review for us to peruse.

Yes, we’ll have to live vicariously through the venerable Mr. Choo, but he’s uploaded many pictures of the new handheld, including side-by-side comparisons with the DS Lite and several photos of the user interface. Among these pictures, you’ll find shots of how the camera tool works and the various effects that you can do.

I’d say it looks pretty sweet and the picture quality using the DSi camera isn’t too bad at all. That said, I don’t think current owners of a DS Lite could justify spending another $200 to get the new DSi. If you don’t have a DS Lite yet, you may want to wait it out a little longer and get the DSi instead. Hit the source link below to drink in all of Choo’s pictures.
