EA Working on Godfather Sequel
Looks like they’re going to make you an offer you can’t refuse.
While the first Godfather game created by Electronic Arts (EA) was met with limited success, the “Blackhand Edition” found on the Nintendo Wii did much better in the marketplace, largely because of the more involving and immersive motion-sensitive controls. So, given that EA is so prone to creating sequels anyways (the Madden franchise hasn’t changed all that much these past few years, has it?), the game developer is working on a sequel to the Mafia-based open-environment adventure, again based on the same engine.
The same engine will also be used for four other franchises, including the upcoming Simpsons game. Who knew that Don Vito Corleone had that much in common with Homer Simpson?
