Downloadable Demos Coming to WiiConnect24

Over at my girlfriend’s place, they have a PlayStation 3, but they only own two games — Virtua Fighter 5 and Resistance: Fall of Man — both of which I bought for them. I’m not sure if they’re too cheap to buy games of their own or they’re too indecisive, but they’ve decided to download a whack-load of demo games to play on the PS3 instead. They’re getting a taste of Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, Gran Turismo HD, and NBA 07, for example.

Unfortunately, I cannot currently do the same thing with my Nintendo Wii… that might be changing though. Depicted in the photo you can see above is a survey that was inserted in the most recent issue of Nintendo Power. Apparently, the big N is asking if we’d be interested in getting some free demos for our motion-sensing machine (yes!) and through which avenue we would like to receive them. One of these options is WiiConnect24. That would be utterly awesome, but they’ve got to sort out the storage issue, considering the the Wii only has 512MB of internal memory and fumbling through SD cards would be kinda dumb.
