Download Lara Croft in a Wetsuit

Some downloadable content can get pretty creative, but most of it is arguably pretty useful. Getting more tracks for Rock Band just expands your enjoyment. The same can be said about getting more maps for your favorite first-person shooter game. This latest DLC offering may not be very useful, per se, but I have a feeling that it may be very popular.

Tons of fanboys have been lusting after the pixelated heroine of Tomb Raider for ages and they will soon be able to dress up the lovely Lara Croft in a wetsuit. The kicker is that this new skintight outfit will be offered via Xbox Live Marketplace for the incredible price of free. Yes, zero dollars, zero cents, zero Microsoft Points.

This is a marketing effort on the part of Eidos to get people to buy Tomb Raider Underworld for the Xbox 360. Instead of charging for this microtransaction, they’re giving it away, hoping that the wetsuit will be enough to entice those leaning on the fence to hop over and buy the bloody game.
