Disgaea Spin-Off In The Works
Turn-based strategy game Disgaea is going to get a spin-off and it’ll star the memorable, funny and smart-alecky henchmen penguins, the Prinnies. Just as I was about to rejoice at the news, I found out later that unlike the original, this one isn’t a strategy game. Too bad. Anyway, here’s the plot:
After someone steals demon princess Etna’s sweets, the enraged victim orders her faithful Prinny henchmen to find the “ultimate sweets” or else face her terrible wrath. The game includes 10 stages, adaptive difficulty settings, and a story spanning a single lengthy day in the life of the Prinnies.
Its Japanese title is Prinny: Ore ga shyujinkou de iinsuka, which translates roughly to Prinny: Is It Really Ok That I’m the Main Character. It’s set for release on November 20 in Japan and there’s no word yet on whether it will see the light of day across the Pacific.
