CPS-3 Cracked!
Capcom’s CPS-3 system board has finally been cracked! What this means is that CPS-3-based arcade games can now be emulated. The list of titles isn’t particularly long, but if you’re a fan of Capcom’s fighting games, it’s significant enough.
- JoJo no Kimyouna Bouken / JoJo’s Venture (1998)
- JoJo no Kimyouna Bouken Miraie no Isan / JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (1999)
- Street Fighter III: New Generation (1997)
- Street Fighter III, 2nd Impact: Giant Attack (1998)
- Street Fighter III, 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future (1999)
- Warzard / Red Earth (1996)
It’s just a matter of time before we see these games running on CPS-3 emulators and, quite frankly, I can’t wait. If you don’t have a controller for your PC yet, then this should give you enough reason to get one.
