Cooking Mama Enters the DS Garden

Clearing, playing through Cooking Mama on the Nintendo DS won’t prepare you for a rousing competition on Iron Chef, but it is still a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Who would have known that chopping virtual onions against the clock would be so much fun?

Well, from the same people that brought you Cooking Mama comes Gardening Mama, also for the Nintendo DS. As you can see from the provided screenshot, the overall visual style of this game is virtually identical to the first Cooking Mama, including the encouraging smile of Mama. I haven’t had a chance to play the game myself, but I imagine that the user interface and overall experience would be much the same.

Not surprisingly, Gardening Mama presents you with several gardening related tasks, taking care of plants, burying seeds in the ground and that kind of thing. I don’t know. I don’t think this game is for me.
