Confirmed: Halo 3 Will Have Online 4-Player Co-Op Mode

I realize that half the fun of online multiplayer is the ability to frag your friends from miles away, but something can be said about participating in a co-operative fashion rather than in a flat-out deathmatch. Apparently the developers at Bungie and Microsoft agree, because Bungie confirmed at a press conference in Amsterdam today that Halo 3 will indeed feature online co-operative play over Xbox Live.

The co-op mode won’t be nearly as massive as some PC games that you may have experienced in the past, but you will be able to participate in co-operative missions as part of two-man or four-man team. The announcement is definitely a welcome one, but it unfortunately didn’t come with much in terms of details.

Bungie is expected to update their website with more information some time soon, so keep an eye out and let us know if you find anything through the comment form below.
