Electronic Arts just announced that a new Command & Conquer: Red Alert title is in the works. Details are scarce at the moment, but the April 2008 issue of PC Gamer should have all the juicy information.

Electronic Arts has announced that they will officially unveil Red Alert 3 tomorrow on February 14th! Also new is those who pre-ordered Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath or the Command & Conquer 3 Collector’s Limited Edition (not to be confuse with the Command & Conquer 3: Kane Edition) will get a special CD-key for the Beta of Red Alert 3! Hopefully this will be officially confirmed soon.

The Red Alert series is set in an alternate Earth where Einstein went back in time and killed Hitler, preventing World War II. The move caused Stalin to rise in power instead, causing a different global conflict altogether. Jump forward to the sequels a few years later and the Red Alert series managed to create recognizable staples of its own. The Allies have the power of time via Chrono technology and the Soviets have the might of electricity via Tesla. Red Alert 2 introduced a third faction involving the mastermind (double pun intended) Yuri, who uses mind control to bend others to his will.

It’ll be interesting how Red Alert 3 will turn out. Updates will be posted here as soon as they come in.
