Coin-Op Xbox 360 Arcade Cabinet

No, I’m not talking about Xbox 360 Arcade as in the lowest package that you can get with the home console. This has nothing to do with the HDD-less version of the Xbox 360. Instead, it seems that Microsoft is bringing its home console core into the arcade. Remember those places where you’d hang out with a roll of quarters, a can of soda, and a little camaraderie with your fellow video game enthusiasts?
It’s not like they’re using the hardware to power some new arcade games either. Instead, it seems that the so-called Arcade Station T2 will just let people play conventional Xbox 360 games — using Xbox 360 controllers too — in a coin-op arcade machine. You won’t pay for a certain number of lives like the usual arcade way, however, as you’ll be paying based on time instead.
There hasn’t been any confirmation for the list of games, but four names being thrown around are Halo 3, FIFA 08, Assassin’s Creed, and Devil May Cry 4. Alternatively, you can just buy an Xbox 360 and play at home. It’s up to you.
