Clayfighter Battles Onto Wii Virtual Console

The Wii Virtual Console is slowly becoming (or has it already become?) a retro gamer’s wet dream. You’ve got classics like Star Fox and Bonk’s Adventure, but what about a little clay? Comical fighting game fans will soon have a reason to celebrate, because Clayfighter is making its way to the Virtual Console. That’s right. Sumo Santa is back!

If that’s not enough comical mischief for you, there is also word that Interplay is bringing more of their hilarious classics to the Virtual Console, all of which will be based on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive versions of the games. Beyond Clayfighter, Interplay is also porting Boogerman and both Earthworm Jim titles. I still remember the Earthworm Jim morning cartoon….

Look for all four games to launch “later this year.”
