Chrono Trigger To Be Released On The DS!
Square Enix has announced that the classic RPG Chrono Trigger is coming to the Nintendo DS! Silent protagonist fans rejoice!
Square Enix announced today that it will release Chrono Trigger DS in North America this Holiday season. Remastered exclusively for Nintendo DS, this marks the first time that the groundbreaking RPG will be available on a handheld console.
In Chrono Trigger, you take on the role of Chrono and his party members as you embark on an adventure that will span several time periods. You’ll meet and interact with all sorts of people and monsters in an effort to save the world from an age-old threat. The game is notable for its great story, memorable characters and excellent gameplay. The combat system allows for two- to three-man combos that can devastate your foes. What’s also memorable about the game is how it ends, which can vary depending on your actions. Team attacks and multiple endings may seem commonplace today, but back when Chrono Trigger was originally released, it was a rarity. I can’t wait for the previews.
The above video is from the PSX version of the game, by the way. No media has been released for the DS port.
