Christmas Comes Early for DS Lite Lovers

Let’s see. There’s black, white, crimson, cobalt… we already have a pretty good assortment of colors for the Nintendo DS Lite, but it seems that at least a couple more are set to launch next month. That’s the good news. The bad news is that it’s not a DS Lite redesign nor have these new colors been announced for launching in Canada and the United States.

The two new DS Lite colors set to make their debut on June 13 are the bright red and the lime green pictured above. The icy blue, which has been available in Japan for the longest time, will also make its way outside of the island nation. All three of these colors are getting ready for a launch in Europe. I’d imagine that there won’t be any pricing premiums, unlike some of those limited edition models that have been released in the past.

So, um, when are these colors coming to Canada? Better still, when is the DS Lite redesign coming?
