Celine Dion’s SingStar Heart Will Go On

Some people got pretty excited about Metallica’s Death Magnetic being offered as DLC. Other people are looking forward to some Smashing Pumpkins action for their favorite band-based rhythm game. And then there are those who prefer their hearts to go on with Canada’s premiere songstress.

For some reason or another, Sony Computer Entertainment feels that the best way to get into the festive spirit is to belt out a song by Celine Dion in SingStar. That’s why they are bundling her “Christmas Eve” single with four other songs (not all by Celine) as part of a Festive Fun SongPack for the karaoke-based video game.

On its way over to the PlayStation 3 to accompany Celine Dion are Toni Braxton’s “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, Babyface’s “Sleigh Ride”, Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime”, and Shakin’ Stevens’ “Merry Christmas Everyone”. How did Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” miss the cut?

Look for the tracks to hit SingStar this Thursday.
