Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Impressions
I’ve been excited about Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia ever since I first heard of it, so you can imagine that as soon as I saw one off the shelves, I grabbed myself a copy. Here are my impressions of the game:
- Surprise! Shanoa doesn’t actually wield weapons. Instead, she absorbs and casts glyphs. You can then equip the said glyphs and use them against your foes. Some of them are weapons and some of them are spells. Others grant abilities and so forth.
- Since you’re casting glyphs, you’re using mana, so even your weapon attacks drain your magic pool. Thankfully, Shanoa’s mana regenerates like no other, so you only have to wait for a few seconds before you get a full bar again. The point here is that it can drain itself out, so button mashing is not recommended.
That’s it so far. I wish I can tell you more about the game, but I just downed the first boss so I’m still in the early stages.
