Capcom Releases Street Fighter IV Teaser

Capcom announced Street Fighter IV today and had a teaser to go along with it.

I am both excited and anxious. Excited because Street Fighter is one of my favorite games. It’s the title that got me into fighting games in the first place, eventually leading to an interest in the King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, Mortal Kombat, among others. From there, I moved to Tekken and a bit of Virtua Fighter. But above all that Street Fighter holds a special place because of the sheer number of hours I put into playing it. My hands-down favorite is Blanka from Street Fighter II Turbo. When you’re using the Rolling Attack as a counter-move, you know you’re on your way.

I’m anxious because it’s hard to imagine what else they can do with it. Street Fighter had counters, supers, guard breakers and other elements that made the business of fighting more complex and entertaining. Hence the question, what else can they do with it?
