Call of Duty 4 is only 600p. Where are the missing pixels?

Although Call of Duty 4 looks great on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, the game is not actually in true HDTV. Most people define HD as being at least 720p (we prefer 1080p, of course), but COD4 only boasts a 600p resolution. With a resolution of 1024×600, it’s missing a full 120 lines of pixels for a total of 307,200 missing pixels.

Yes, it’s nit-picking on a game that looks good enough as is, but if they’re going to try and sell us on next-generation graphics and immersive environments, they’ve got to give us at least a 720p experience, right? The pixel counters have already outted Halo 3 for being less than HD too.
