Box Art for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

We thought that Mortal Kombat Armageddon would be the concluding chapter to the current MK universe, but it seems that this upcoming fighting game is more of the same… except it has Superman beating the crap out of Raiden. That said, I’ve always enjoyed the artwork on the Mortal Kombat games and this latest box art is no exception.

The box art for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe has now been unveiled and it prominently features Scorpion (holding a kunai) squaring off against Batman. Further in the background, we see Raiden and Sub-Zero representing the Mortal Kombat side. Wonder Woman and Superman round out the box art by representing the DC Comics side.

Personally, I think the Midway guys need to make a new 2D Mortal Kombat. That’s when MK was at its best, I think.
