Blizzard Releases Pre-Wrath Patch

Blizzard has released patch 3.0.2: Echoes of Doom for World of Warcraft. This is the pre-Wrath of the Lich King patch, the largest in WoW’s history, so expect to see a ton of changes in the game. Here’s something from the significant ones:
All players will have their talent points reimbursed and will have access to new talents throughout their trees; this includes the 51-point talents. Several new spells and abilities have been added for all classes. Players will need to visit their class trainer to learn new spells.
Talents is the term that WoW uses to refer to specialization, similar to Diablo 2′s skill trees. For example, mages can specialize in fire or ice. Choosing to invest in one talent tree strengthens existing skills and unlocks new ones. The Echoes of Doom patch expands talents to 51-points, up from Burning Crusade’s 41. It marks a dramatic change in the way the game is played.
As if that wasn’t enough, each class gets a major overhaul in terms of skills: hunter pets get their own talent trees, combat rogues have a move similar to omnislash from Final Fantasy and tanking classes have been reworked, among others. Make sure you hit the patch notes for the full details.
