Blizzard Releases Patch 3.0.9 For World Of WarCraft

Blizzard recently released patch 3.0.9 for its popular MMORPG World of WarCraft. The changes are minor compared to the previous 3.0.8, but they provide a preview of what’s to come with 3.1. Here are the updates for the Rogue class:
- Hunger for Blood (Assassination): Now increases damage 5% per stack, (up from 3%.)
- Mind Numbing Poison now reduces cast time by 30%, down from 60%.
- Mutilate damage will now do 20% increased damage against poisoned targets, down from 50%.
- Slice and Dice (Rank 2): This ability now increases melee attack speed by 40%, up from 30%
You’ll notice that the Assassination tree has been nerfed a bit with Mutilate’s increased damage reduced to 20% against poisoned targets. Hunger for Blood is going to see a major change in 3.1. The skill currently stacks three times, boosting overall damage to 15%. Blizzard will be changing that in the next patch to remove the stack but retain the 15% number. How that will be implemented should be revealed in the next PTR.
What’s going to be exciting with 3.1 is the release of Ulduar, a new instance for the game. That means new bosses, new achievements and, more importantly, new loot. Considering that it’s a dungeon that will bring players closer to finally matching up against the Lich King, it’s going to be exciting to see how that develops.
