Blizzard released patch 3.0.8 recently, making it the first patch to go live ever since Wrath of the Lich King came out. Aside from the usual bug fixes, the update made a lot of adjustments to current skills for the sake of re-balancing the classes available in the game. Unfortunately, those alterations have been very detrimental to hunters. Here are some of them:

  • Steady Shot: Now gains 10% of attack power as damage instead of 20%.
  • Unleashed Fury: This talent now grants only 3/6/9/12/15% pet damage.
  • Volley: The damage has been reduced on all ranks by approximately 30% (including attack power scaling).

As you can see, the damage for these skills have been reduced, which is why the patch has been dubbed as The Great Hunter Nerf. Of course, the game’s hero class, the death knight, has been given major overhauls as well, particularly those who are blood specced. For the full patch notes, hit the source. You might want to hold of on leveling that hunter alt though.
