Bike Hero: Surreal Guitar Hero on Two Wheels

I’m not really sure what to make of this clip. On one level, I want to think that it is very much real and a real Guitar Hero enthusiast actually went through the trouble of equipping his bicycle with flashing LEDs, spraypainted the sidewalk with GH notes, and set up situations that would involve flying blue streamers. On another level, I have a burning suspicion that this was all computer-generated and it’s little more than a viral advertising attempt.

You can watch the clip above and determine for yourself. In a nutshell, it’s a POV video that shows some kind riding along on his bicycle as a Guitar Hero song plays in the background. The handlebars have been equipped with lights that correspond to the Guitar Hero fret buttons and the note stream from the song has been graffiti’d onto the ground. It’s really, really elaborate.
