Beta-Testing Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix

Fighting games are awesome and no fighting game has achieved quite the same level of legendary status as Street Fighter II. Sure, some people may prefer the tactical strategy of Virtua Fighter or the fatalities of Mortal Kombat, but when it comes down to it, all of these other fighting game franchises were heavily inspired by Capcom and Street Fighter.

Get ready to relive your childhood, friends, because the newest addition to the Street Fighter franchise is almost here. I’m not talking about Street Fighter IV, unfortunately. Instead, you just may want to boot up that Xbox 360 and enjoy Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. The full version isn’t quite ready for primetime just yet, but Capcom is getting close and they need your help.

The SSF2THDR beta kicks off today is available for download through XBLA. There are a few different ways to access it, so check out the Capcom-Unity link below for more information. As it stands, the beta only has one stage and only lets you choose between Ken and Ryu. Yeah, it’s a pretty early beta. I just wish they had Blanka in there for me.
